Heart Illness Fatal For Former Provoan
ANTIOCH, Calif. - Floyd R. Hitchcock, 72, 5016 Belle Drive
Antioch and a longtime Provo resident, died Thursday in an
Antioch hospital of a heart condition.
A native of Weir , City, Kan., Mr. Hitchcock attended schools in Kansas and Colorado. He came to Utah in 1923 and
worked for U.S. Steel's Ironton Plant. He retired in 1960
as a foreman.
Mr. Hitchcock was a member of the woodmen of the World in Provo and was a member of the Catholic Church, attending the Church of the Good Shepherd in Pitsburg, Calif.
Survivors include his widow, Mary B. Hitchcock, Antioch;
two sons and one daughter Mrs. Frances Orud, Burbank
Calif.; Marcus Hitchcock, Antioch; and Father David H.
Hitchcock, OFM, Santa Barbara, Calif.; one sister, Mrs
Curllda Lee, Pueblo, Colo.;
three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Rosary and Bible Vigil ServIce will be held at 8 p.m. tonight In the Higgins Funeral Chapel, 1310 E Street, Antioch. Mass will be offered Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 3831 Shopping
Heights Lane, Pit'tsburg, Calif. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery In Antioch.
