I've been trying for years to find a death record for my 2x great-grandfather. On the off-chance someone can help me out, I'm posting the info here.
Joseph Goodheart (also seen as Goodhart or some variation of Vadeboncoeur) is last found on the 1910 census in Hardwick. He was born 1854 in Quebec to Ambroise (or Antoine) Verboncoeur & Adeline Leveque.
He married Delia Boucher in 1881 in Barton, VT (I do already have his birth & marriage record). Delia is widowed & living with son Napoleon in Burrillville, RI for the 1920 census. I believe she is living by herself in St. Johnsbury circa 1914/5, as she seems to be listed in the city directory. Son Roger, living in Hardwick, states he is supporting his mother on his WWI draft card in 1917. Delia died in 1940 in RI & is buried down there w/o her husband.
I have looked in both VT & RI for Joseph's death, & have not found it yet.
On a side note, I've also been trying to determine where his daughter Lucy Frizzell is buried. She died in Boston in 1919, & her death record says she was buried in Hardwick. I tried the Hardwick Town Clerk's office, but they were unable to tell me which cemetery she is buried at. I think it's quite possible she is even buried with her father.
