I'm seeking information on the family of John B. SEYMOUR, tailor, born about 1785 in Canada (died 7 Dec 1868 in Cleveland, OH), and married to a "Mary B." He was in NY prior to 1826 and naturalized in 1831. His family appears in the 1830 census in Chazy and the 1840 census in Plattsburgh.
I have four known children: Mary Jane (whom my grandmother recalls as "Eugenie," born in (possibly) Verchères, Quebec, Canada in 1816 and married c. 1837 to John S. GIBBENS/GIBBONS. They would later move to Cleveland and then to Put-in-Bay, OH; Napoleon B., born about 1821 in Vermont; Henry, (1829-1833), buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh; and Maria Theresa, born 1830 in Burlingon, VT (perhaps her father was making a lot of trips back and forth?).
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
