In your search for your Washburn line, you maybe should check the cemeteries around Potsdam, St. Lawrence county, NY. I found both my Washburn & Bradish family members buried in a little old country cemetery there. It appears my Washburn family left Vermont for NY. some time between 1810 & 1820's. I am just now pursueing this area if I find anything more I will post to you on here. I know that my gr gr. grandmother, had a brother named Luke Bradish, there is a post some place that has him married to a Durkee. The Bradish family was apparently living around Potsdam, in 1832 my Daniel Bradish witnessed & signed a declaration in that year, for a Benefit of act of Congress, for a Abel Brown, stating Daniel Bradish residence as Potsdam Inn. This document source is posted usgenweb/ny/stlawrence/military/revwar/pensions/brown-abel.txt
Have you tried the LDS family history centers? have a nice day, DEE
