I am also looking on information on Stable Furkey. He is my great grandfather. I have his first name spelled Stabile. He was married to Mary Bovet. Don't have any idea how many children they had other than my grandmother, Agnes Furkey. I know that there is a lot of Iroquois Indian blood in our family. was told by my dad that my great grandmother was at least 3/4 Iroquois. Everything on search engines seems to stop at my grandmother, Agnes Furkey, and i am wondering if this is because of the Indian in the family. On my grandmother's death certificate it has her last name spelled Farkey, but i am sure it was Furkey. Some places also have It spelled Firkey, but it is the same family. It also says on her birth certificate that she was born in Waterloo, Canada, but many search engines say that she was born in Katerios, Qc, Canada. I haven't been able to find anyone who has ever heard of Katerios and am wondering if at one time that could have been an Indian village or reservation. I think it's kind of strange how Katerios and Iroquois end almost the same, which makes me think even more that at one time Katerios was an Indian Village or Reservation.
This is all I have. I hope it helps you and if you have anything more, could you pleade get back to me with it?
Thank you and happy hunting
