Lackey
I am so sorry, I can't believe how confusing and erroneous my querry was. I will now try to do a whole
lot better. Much of the information I have came from "The Churchills in America" and the information provided to the author was given by Seth Warren Churchill, my great, great grandfather and the son of Elisha Churchill and Lydia
Lackey. According to him Lydia was born 1784; died April 9, 1827. On the Internet, I found the tombstone inscriptions at Green's Corners, stating that she did die on the above date at the age of 43, was the consort of Elisha Churchill. He died 1 Sep 1831 at the age of 50 years and is buried next to her. Susanna A. Lackey (Adams) is buried in the same cemetery as are Isham and others. From everything
I have seen the only Lackey in the area at the time to have been her father is Isaac Lackey, Sr. Susanna is the right age to be her mother. I am wondering if the person who did the Swanton History, which I haven't seen, could have not known about a daughter. She must have been related to the family at the very least.
