Could you give us the wording on the certificate? It would help us possibly locate the man. I'm not sure he was a Confederate Veteran, as I fould a T. Matt Stratton buried in Holly Springs, MS, but he was born in ca. 1868. The full text (or an image) of the certificate would really help us identify this man. He could have been a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, rather than the United Confederate Veterans, as S.D. Lee was involved with both organizations.
