Hello Jan, my grandmother was on the train that stopped in Enosburg. The adoptive parents were Jerry & Rosalie Couture. "Couchie" or Coochie was how it was pronounced and often spelled by the non-French speaking natives. She was called "Bessie" by her adopted family. She listed her birthdate on her marriage certificate as1904. She married my grandfather Joseph Benoit in Enosburg Falls, and had a son, Douglas (my father). My mother thought she may have had a sister on the train, Mae Sabourin Depatie because they looked so much alike. I am looking for information on her and hope to find the names of her birth parents. If you have any info about her or her life I would really appreciate it. Thanks, Mary Ann Benoit
