George W. Sallies is listed in the 1890 Veterans Schedule as living in Stowe, Vt. He was a private in Company E, 34 Regiment Ohio Volunteers, serving from 12 May 1861 to 13 Sep 1864. I believe he is the son of Lucius and Samantha Sallies.
Ellen L. Sallies is teaching school in Stowe in the 1880 census of Stowe. She is apparently single, age about 28, born in Vermont. She may be the daughter of George Sallies, son of Lucius and Samantha Sallies.
Lincoln Sallies is in the 1880 census of Stowe, born about 1865, still single, and living in the home of Lewis Raymond as a farm laborer. He may also be child of George and Madora Sallies.
George and Madora Sallies and family with children Lucius, Lucy, George and Elva (Eva?) are listed in Stowe in the 1880 census.
So is the Lucius and Samantha Sallies family. I believe the George Sallies is Lucius' son.
