I would check out what was available from the LDS Family History Center near you (hopefully there is one, they are located at LDS churches and are branch libraries of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City). Look in their catalog (on CD) for records available from the town of South Strafford. Also recommend searching their IGI and Ancestral File based on the information you already have - you may find indexed vital records or that someone else has already done research on this line. If microfilm available then order it and review the record. You may find a list of family births or marriages. Keep in mind that Richardson (to me) seems to be a fairly common name in this area. There was often a lot of moving around between the nearby town, and since the records are kept at the town level, you may want to search nearby towns as well. Also try the Vermont vital record index microfilms for your surname. Good luck.
