Looks like Ellen R. Walbridge who married Emery as his 3rd wife in 1853 might be our person.....perhaps by the time the children were marrying she was divorced and married again, or she had been married before she married Emery and she was either a maiden name of George or Walbridge. There were Walbridges in Montpelier area....but it is odd they would give the George name if she had been married to their father still.
I did find a newspaper notice..one liner that on April 14, 1853 Melissa E. Jones was divorced from Emery Jones, page 2 of Vt. Watchman & State Journal. So, that allowed Ellen to marry Emery on 18 Aug. 1853....
so, that is it for today...need to do some things around here, weather still most nasty with little improvement.
