I've been searching for Luna Loretta Paul & Henry Perry's marriage record for a long time. Luna was a sister to Sophia Paul, who married Moses Haynes. Moses & Sophia are my 3rd great grandparents, who moved to Griffins Mills, Town of Aurora, Erie County, NY. Luna & Henry lived for a short time in the Town of Aurora, before moving to Michigan, and then to Indiana. They ended up in St. Joseph, IN; Luna died in 1886 and Henry died in 1871. A search of Henry's obituary revealed nothing - no mention of his marriage date. Luna's obit said nothing about their marriage date, either.
Presumably, they were married sometime before their first child, Luna, was born in 1826.
I spend a week every summer in Middletown Springs, VT, doing research. So far, I've not found any record of the marriage in Middletown Springs, Tinmouth, or Wells.
Luna's father, Joshua Paul, was a member of the Baptist Church, in Middletown Springs, and I believe there is a good chance that Luna and Henry were married there. Unfortunately, the Baptist Church is no longer active and the records are not there. Next summer, I will be making a trip to Barre, where I am hopeful those records may be on microfilm.
Incidentally, Joshua Paul's wife's first name was Anner, not Anna. Anner is on her tombstone in the Lillie-Paul Cemetery, in Tinmouth.
