Barre City – Cipriano “Cip” Usle, 77 of 112 Maple Avenue died December 14, 1999 at his home. He was born in Barre on October 23, 1922 the son of Cipriano and Gloria (Calvo) Usle. He attended schools in Barre and was a graduate of Spaulding High School,Class of 1940. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on April 25, 1941 where he served in the Pacific Theater with distinction. After his honorable discharge in 1945 he returned to Barre where he entered the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Trade, as a Union member, and worked throughout the northern New England area. He retired in 1984. He married Theresa Tousignant on August 17, 1946 in St. Sylvester Church in Graniteville. He was a member of St. Monica Church.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa of 53 years; one daughter, Linda and her husband, David LaFlower of East Montpelier; two sons, Michael and his wife Mele Usle of Albany, Oregon; and Steven and wife, Diane Usle of Hanover, New Hampshire; eleven grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Gloria Gallas of Barre, Angela Henstridge of Arlington, Virginia and Anita Rutland of Houston, Texas. He is predeceased by his parents and one brother, Lewis Usle.

Burial is scheduled to take place in Spring of 2000 in St. Sylvester Cemetery, Barre Town.
