I am seeking more info on Sally Carney (married name), mother of my great-grandfather John Carney. She is in David Hagan household on 1850 census in Clark County, Kentucky, shown born abt 1820 in Virginia. Relationship to David Hagan is unknown, but David Hagan's son William L. Hagan consented to marriage of John Carney in Fulton Co IL in 1855. Wife of David Hagan is Jane Bybee, daughter of David Bybee who lived in Fluvanna and Albemarle counties & was granted land in Albemarle county by Governor Harrison. The Bybees and Carneys migrated together and lived nearby over the course of many decades. It is believed that John's mother Sally, born abt. 1820 in Virginia, is a Bybee, since Bybees were in Virginia around that time but Hagans were not. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.
