NORMAN GREEN, 88, died Saturday (Dec. 4) in the Waynesboro General Hospital.
Mr. Green was born in Green Bank, W.Va., on Nov. 13, 1883, a son of the late JOHN and GEORGIANNA Green.
Surviving are two sons, Robert c. Green, Hot Springs and Bellion Green, Lewis Veteran Home, Callaghan; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Ryder, Great Falls, Montana; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Dressler, Covington; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the McLaughlin Funeral Home with the Rev. Harley Bender officiating. Interment will be in the Warm Springs Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Charles Armstrong, Charles Kimberlin, Henry Lester Sr., Clay Campbell, Ed McAllister Sr. and Alvin May.
Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Johnson, Forrest Phillips, Waldo Burns, Tommy May, Edward Lowman, Jack Williams, Waldo Shelton, C. J. Wallin, Dr. I. T. Harnbarger, Ernest Terry, Charlie Ryder, Walter Broce, Raymond Johnson, Frank Pritt Sr., Frank Layman, Everette Hough and other friends of the family attending the service.
The body is at the McLaughlin Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 o'clock this evening.
