Do you have a source for this information? I was unaware there were any bounty tracts set aside in Greenbrier at any time for any purpose.

Also, do you know which specific parcels were awarded as bounty? I've looked at most of James McCoy's land grants and all so far are in consideration of either treasury warrants, swaps, or a certificate in right of settlement. At face value, none of these suggests a bounty for military service.

Strictly speaking, there was no Indian uprising, as such, in what is now Greenbrier Co, since Native Americans had not lived in the highlands for centuries. The raid on Fort Donnally was by the Shawnee, from Ohio, and was actually part of "Pontiac's Rebellion" against Gen Jeffrey Amherst and the British Crown.
