I'm trying to track down Isaac Newton Clark, brother of my gg grandfather--born in Randolph, NJ about 1834. There's an Isaac Newton Clark who appears in the 1860 census in Bedford, VA and in subsequent censuses in the same place--the birth years and birthplace seem to match. His tombstone in Bedford indicates that he was a Lt. in the Confederate Army (Co. I, 34th Va. Inf. Regt. CSA). He married a woman named Laura and had several daughters. I'm trying to figure out if he was my guy--the trajectory does seem unusual, but perhaps not impossible. Does anyone have any suggestions about where or how to find out more about your Bedford Isaac Newton Clark?
