Jesse Copher (Coffer) and Joseph Johnson (sometimes listed as Jackson) were members of "The Kentucky Expedition" of Bedford militia, per my earlier post on this expedition on this board. Another member of that expedition, and probably the most famous one other than it's commander, Capt. Charles Gwatkin, was Anselm (ansel) Goodman, whose adventures are well documented in several Boone biographies, and in his 1832 Rev. War pension application. There was also an Andrew Johnson among those captured at the Blue Licks with Boone and Ansel Goodman, but I have not been able to trace him to Bedford.

Hope this helps!
