Funeral services for Amos Thomas,65, colored, who was found dead at his home on Benjamin Street Saturday evening, will be conducted privately Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Baker funeral home chapel, Rev. A. M. Thomas will officiate and interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.
Coroner Ray McDaniel, who investigated, stated that the man had been dead since Wednesday.

A heart attack was given as the cause of death. The body was discovered by Joseph DeWees of the Ohio Supply Company Saturday evening.
Thomas had done odd jobs at the supply company and DeWees, noting his absence, went to his home to see if he was ill.
Although he was born in Fincastle, Virginia, he had resided in Zanesville (Ohio) for the past 52 years.
He was a member of the Union Baptist church.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Nannie Ford of Columbus, and four brothers, George of this city;
Robert and Harvey of Youngstown, and Matthew Thomas of Columbus, Ohio.

George Thomas, 79, formerly of the Ohio District Council rest home on the East Pike, (Zanesville, Ohio) died at 8:20 o'clock Thursday morning at a Cambridge (Ohio) hospital where he had been a patient for ten months.
Among the survivors is a niece Edith Hill of Columbus.(Ohio)
His wife preceded him in death
The body is at Hillis funeral home where services will be held at 1o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. C.T. Todd officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
