Hi Todd, I have been to the Gravesite of Garland and Inez just last year in October. The Brown Family Cemetery in Buchanan County Virginia on the County Ridge line. Rt.621 ( Brown's Ridge Road ) there is a grave yard behind a little church building ( Brown's Ridge Pentecostal Church ) and two Cousins (ladies) from Brown Families live on each side of the road. The reason I found this grave site is because I have been researching the James P. Brown Family in Tazewell/ Buchanan County Census' and Land Grants. Garland was listed as a son to James Brown in the Census records and His Brother David P is buried across from him. My line is Garland's Older Brother Thomas who married Olivia McGlothlin and moved off with Olivia's Family to Boyd County KY in the 1870's. I have been in contact with a lady from Ohio (Tonya Brown) just recently who comes from the Brown / Phipps line I will e-mail Tonya with your Address and let her know you are looking for same information. Anyway here is the family Descendency as I have it to that generation. I do not know if Catherine was a 1st wife ( probably was ) but since I got that information later and entered it later this program makes it look as if she was his second wife. Do You have the marriage date of Garland and Inez???
