I am looking for any leads on any Baber family cemeteries in Buckingham County. There are many, many Babers unaccounted for from the mid-late 19th & early 20th centuries. Most of these Babers lived near present day Rt 20 on Sharps Creek, or near Centenary. Anyone with ties to these Babers, please contact me with any information about old home/cemetery locations.
There are handfuls of Babers buried at Centenary and Goshen churches, but most are of more recent generations. There is also a small Baber cemetery on Sharps Creek Rd, with only two stones from the 20th century. Conversations with a local Buckingham elder, leads me to believe there are others buried there without markers.
Two specific Babers I am seeking are Robert Lindsay Baber and George W Baber. Both of these gentlemen had CSA stones issued in the 1930s for placement at their respective family cemeteries. I attached the records stating where and when they was delivered.
If anyone can help find these "lost" CSA burials, please contact me!
