I have found out that my gggrandfather is Joel Adcock. This is the information I have on him:

He was born around the time of 1814-1816 in VA according to census records (I think one record said 1811). The 1850 Robertson Co. TN census has him living in the Coleman household. I believe this is his sister's home, Elizabeth Adcock Coleman.

In 1853 he married Frances (Fanny) Nickens Shoecraft in Robertson Co., TN. They had 9 children, my ggrandfather is number 8, Robert Adcock b. 1870 in Bedford Co., TN.

Do you have any additional information about the Joel and Elizabeth from your friend? Does any of this match the information you have on Joel and Elizabeth with your friend's sheet?
