Would anyone know if he was John Champe of Westmoreland, husband of Elizabeth Washington (or, some say, Elizabeth Pope) and father of Col. John Champe of Lamb's Creek, King George Co., VA, 1702-63, m. Jane Thornton.

Or was he another John Champe, perhaps the one who moved into the Truro Parish area of what became Loudoun Co., VA about this time?

I have both John of Westmoreland and son, Col. John, at Lamb's Creek after 1732, not in Caroline Co., but could be wrong.
