In your Aug 2010 reply about my Stevens query, you noted that Sarah Kenyon was the first wife of John Carter:

"Mary Beverly Carter was the daughter of John Carter and his 3rd wife Hannah Chew who survived him. John Carter's home was in Spotsylvania very near the Caroline border. John Carter by his first wife, Sarah Kenyon, had 4 children, by his 2nd Elizabeth Armstead 4 more and by Hannah Chew 6 more children... total of 14 children. Hannah Chew's mother was Mary Beverly so Mary Beverly (Carter) Stevens was named for her maternal grandmother."

Could you please send me a citation for this information for John Carter and Sarah Kenyon's marriage, as tis was new to me and I cannot find a source to log for it.
