I'm the genealogist for the Historical Society and am fairly familiar with the area. However, churches here have few records and I don't think you would gain much over a weekend. There is a cemetery book that is current up to about 1984 of most everyone who has a tombstone. If you could tell me what you are looking for, perhaps I could save you a trip.
