JOHN WHITE. Many, many sources have him as son of CAPT. DANIEL LLEWELLYN, b. 1602 in Essex, Burgess of Charles City, and his wife, MARY ANN MATTHEWS, b. 1604, widow of John Price and Robert Hallom, both very early immigrants to Virginia. My problem with this is that Ann did not marry Capt. Daniel until 1840, when Thomas would have been about 20 years old. She had several Price and Hallom children before she married Capt. Daniel. Was Thomas therefore the son of another, earlier wife of Capt. Daniel? Hope someone can help clarify this mess. Thanks for any and all help. -- Kathleen
