Maybe this will help some:
William W. Davidson (died about 1839) took-in some of the Roach children in Charlotte Co., VA when the children's father died. William W. Davidson provided the surety for the marriage of Thomas EAST and Mary Roach in 1827. William W. Davidson also provided the surety for the marriage of Robert D. Moore and Catherine Roach in 1821. In addition, another child that William W. Davidson took-in was Mildred Roach, and she married Edmond Cody.
In 1837, Benjamin W. EAST married Ann Eliza NOELL, and Elijah W. Roach was the minister. I don't know how/if the above-mentioned Thomas EAST and this Benjamin W. EAST were related.
A William H. Davidson was a witness for the marriage of Samuel Garner and Mary Jane NOELL in 1846. I do not know the "blood relationship" between William H. Davidson and William W. Davidson, if any (they APPEAR to have been from two unrelated Davidson families), and I do not know how/if Mary Jane NOELL was related to the above-mentioned Ann Eliza NOELL. William H. Davidson's first unknown wife apparently died in 1836 (per her obit that just said "Mrs. Davidson," as I recall), and William H. Davidson then remarried to Ann Eliza Hamilton in 1844. By the 1850 Charlotte Co., VA census, however, Ann Eliza (Hamilton) Davidson was living with her parents and two small Davidson children, and William H. Davidson was "gone."
William W. Davidson had a brother named Archer A. Davidson, and Archer and his wife Elizabeth F. (Lester) Davidson had a son named William Bryant Davidson whose second wife was Mary P. EAST (married in 1855; I think that I have also seen her called Catherine, but that could be incorrect). William Bryant Davidson had been married to Ann Eliza Johns, but she apparently died in the early 1850s, and William remarried to Mary P. EAST in 1855, as shown above. William Bryant Davidson and his wife Mary P. (EAST) Davidson were later in Henrico Co., VA (1860 and/or 1870 census, as I recall). I do not know how/if Mary P. EAST was related to any of the other EASTS mentioned herein.
