I do. Joel Hurt, Jr. (1814-1880) was one of the 16 children of Joel Hurt, Sr. (1779-aft 1850) and Nancy Smith (ca 1791-aft 1840). Elizabeth “Betsy” Hess (died 1846), his first wife, was the oldest of the five daughters of John Hess (1787-1871) and Anna Maria “Mary” Bloss (1787-1870). Joel and Betsy were married in Rockingham Co., VA, on 21 February 1839. The next year, they were in Cooper Co., MO. Betsy's parents did move out of Rockingham Co., too, but they went to Butler Co., OH. They both eventually died in Blue Ball there.
