Ralph,

I have no information on Beverly's Ford but my ancestor George Stone purchased property in Brandy Station from Carter Beverly in 1819 as shown below.

"First known as "George Stone Home", later "Miss Harriet Stone's Home"
LOCATION:
In Brandy, Virginia in corner between Route #665 and Route #15.
DATE OR PERIOD:
About 1820
OWNERS:
John Roberts ---- to 1726
John Thompson 1726 to 1772
Philip Rootes Thompson 1772 to 1805
Carter Beverley 1805 to 1819
George H. Stone 1819 to 18--
Ellen Foote --- to 1847
Juliet A. Stone 1847 to 1882
H. M. Stone 1882 to 1886
S. L* Cooper 1886 to 1901
L. P. Humphries 1901 to 1908
Mary C. Caynor 1908 to 19--
Sarah C. Inskeep 19- to 1919
W. L. Compton 1919 to 1937
present owner. [1937]

"The Stones came to this section from Spotsylvania County and bought this land from Carter Beverley. The Beverley’s owned a large amount of land in this neighborhood. Carter Beverley
bought this particular piece from the estate of the Reverend John Thompson, who owned, Salubria. This was a part of a tract granted by King George to John Roberts in 1726.
When Miss Juliet Stone bought the property in 1847, she started an inn in this house. She kept this inn until her death in 1882. Miss Harriet Stone, who was her heir, lived in the house and
although she did not keep an inn, seems to have been general helper for the whole community. She had quite a reputation as a philosopher, coining her own expressions and applying then
quite aptly."
