Here are some sources:

Contains brief history of early churches in Culpeper plus history of each church established before the Civil War. Many of the histories were written by an individual from that church. Sources and credits vary by history.
Culpeper A Virginia County’s History Through 1920. Eugene M. Scheel. The Culpeper Historical Society, Culpeper, VA, 1982. Library of Congress Catalog Card No. 82-83469
Contains 2 chapters about religious history. The first one is about Culpeper churches during the Great Awakening. It also covers the shift from the state-established Anglican church to freedom of religion in Virginia. The second chapter covers religion during the Civil War.

This is “… a Revised and Enlarged Edition o Dr. Philip Slaughter’s History of St Mark’s Parish”. St. Mark’s was one of the original, if not the original, Anglican parish in Culpeper. There are several chapters on the history of the parish.
