My ggggrandfather, Jesse MILLER served in the Revolutionary War in Richmond County, GA. He first lived in Warren County, GA, then moved to Harris County, GA. He first married Martha MCNAIR(E) and then Martha (Patsy) DENNIS on December 15, 1803 in Warren County, GA. Jesse is said to have moved to Georgia from Virginia "by way of the Carolinas."
I have reference to a Jesse MILLER born in Cumberland County, VA in 1760 and am interested in either confirming or denying that he is my ggggrandfather.
This Jesse was the son of Jesse MILLER and Elizabeth WALTON both said to have been born in Cumberland County, VA. This Jesse (b. 1740) and Elizabeth (b. 1742) had the following children: Jesse (b. 1760 and who may be my ggggrandfather), Thomas (1762), William (1764), John(1766), Patty (1768), Nancy (1770), and Judy (1772),
all said to have been born in Cumberland County. Jesse's (b. 1740) may have been the son of Edward MILLER.
Another source lists Jesse MILLER born in 1703 in New Kent, VA who married Elizabeth WALTON born September 4, 1707 in New Kent, VA.
The sources are thus in conflict. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.ppreciated.
