I am trying to find out if a Capt William Rose (CSA) is a Greatgreatuncle of mine. He fought in the Civil War and served with the 5th Virginia State Line, Company C and later served with the 7th Battalion Confederate Cavalry, Company B.
The William Rose that I am trying to locate would have been the son of John Mac Rose and the brother of Elias Jackson "EJ" Rose. He would also have been the uncle of Lovina "LJ" Rose (my greatgrandma).
I have been told of a William G Rose and of a William E Rose. I have been told that one was captured and sent to a Union prison and I have been told that one was killed by Union "Bushwackers". Possibly, William E and William G are both related to me.
ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!
