I have a Nathaniel Daniel Johnson born 1837 in Wilkes County North Carolina, died March 4, 1883 in Dickenson County Virginia. Trammel is a small mining town between Dante, and Nora, Virginia. It is still in existance but very few people live there. Nathaniel was married to Mary Musselwhite born about 1841 in Letcher County Kentucky. I have Nathaniel's father as William Johnson born around 1815 in Wilkes County North Carolina. I have his mother as Rebecca Caudill born around 1816 in Wilkes County North Carolina. I have Mary's father as Joseph Musselwhite born about 1815 in Washington County Virginia and her mother as Della Caudill born around 1818 in Georgia. Nathaniel and Mary had 8 children mostly born in Scott County Virginia. They were James Worley 1863; William H. 1866; Sarah D. 1868; Joseph L.8-14-1869; Laura E. 1872; Rachel E. Feb 1874; Rebecca J. Nov 1876; Adinah (female)July 24, 1879. I show they married in Perry County Kentucky 10-20-1861. Hope this helps.
