Saw your post about Rev Jesse Carter. Not my direct Carter line (Mine is Thomas of Barford > John > John > Mary Beverley Carter), but I saw your post and read about Jesse Carter just last night in Christine Adams Jones's book,THE EARLY THOMAS CARTERS of Caroline County, Virginia,so thought I would ask you if this is the Jesse Carter whose parents were Thomas Carter III and his wife, Jone/Joan Miller? He would she been b. abt 1724.

If so, this Jesse Carter would have been about 56 years of age when he performed that marriage. As he is supposed to have 'removed to Pittsylvania' [county, Virginia], and died there is 1811, if this is the same Jesse Carter, you might want to have a look there for your marriage info. Also, this Jesse would have been b. in Lancaster County, Virginia, I believe.
