Hi Esther,

I am researching this line also and in looking at the tax lists for Essex County (1782, 1790, & 1800), it looks to me like Peter Trible/Tribble who is listed in 1782 & 1790, is is gone by 1800 and Ann (his wife?) is listed instead. I see where in 1782 it is only Peter, in 1790 it is Peter and John, and in 1800 it is Ann and John.

I am trying to figure out where my ancestor, George Trible/Tribble b.bet. 1780-1784 d.1847 fits in. I suspect he may be the son of Peter and Ann, brother of George.

Can you shed any light on this?

Thanks for your help!
