Have two Places that says Francis Coffer is married to Catherine Gunnell. and One THat John Coffer & one that says John Francis Coffer. My Husband is dec From Mary Coffer that Married John Sangster SR. Her dad Is Francis Coffer From Fairfax Va.I Have His will dated 1817.His children listed are Francis ,Thomas,Catherine ,Sarah .He had a daughter that was Married to a Wilkinson. Was Told that This francis Is the same as 1748 Francis Coffer and his dad was Thomas and Mother was Mary Ferguson/Farguson.Francis son Thomas was suppose to be married to Ann Simpson. Which make since if want Look at this way John Sangster GrandMother was a Simpson. A lot of intermarried Cousins back then. Because thats all they knew was cousin are close friends. were people want to beleive this is up to the person. The proof you find though is what counts. that what im makeing sure are trying to find the Proof which is not easy when on a doc they are like me and cant spell.Also it is hard to read some of the writing. Hope dont make someone mad by post this. that is not my intion.Some are just my thought and that do count. I found this will but dont know who he belong to yet.Fairfax County Will book D

I DANIEL WITHERS COFFER of Fairfax county being of sound mind and memory..
give all my land unto my son, FRANCIS COFFER.. to my son JOHN COFFER,
a negro girl slave .. to my son JOSHUA COFFER, a negro girl slave..
to my daughter SARAH LITTLEJOHN, three slaves already in her
possession.. also remainder of salves and other estate..I give and bequaeth
to my three sons, FRANCIS, JOHN and JOSHUA, to be equally divided among
them.. appoint my son FRANCIS, Executor.. this first day January 1781.
