Need assistance in clarifying children for this couple posted to census records.
1860 census, Floyd Court House, Floyd, VA:
Infant, female, age 2
Infant, male, age 1
Who are these two children?
1870 census, Jacksonville, Floyd, VA:
Nomena, female, age 5 - not listed in 1880 unless she is Amanda
Newbia, female, age 8 mos - not listed in 1880
Norman, age 7 - no listed in 1880 census unless he is Walter
1880 census, Jacksonville, Floyd, VA:
Walter, age 15 - not listed in 1870 census unless he is Norman
Amanda, age 13 - not listed in 1870 census unless she is Nomena ?
Puss, female, age 7
There are other children (Melinda, John Franklin, Mary Ann, Julina Texas and Joseph Tyler listed; however, the ones mentioned above are confusing. Does anyone have a complete listing of all of the children? In the 1900 and 1910 census, Ona indicates she had 9 children with 8 living. Those above would exceed 9. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rachel.
