I responded to your email with more details, but to answer your questions: I found the information in Amelia, Botetourt, Montgomery and Floyd Co, VA records.

One was the Amelia Co, VA marriage record of Elizabeth MITCHELL to Levi DEATON, Jr which was concented by her father, John MITCHELL

One was the fact that both John MITCHELL and Levi DEATON Jr had moved to Botetourt Co, VA by 1820 census and were living about 10 pages apart.

Finally, included in John MITCHELL's 1836 Will in Montgomery is his children's names, including Elizabeth MITCHEL, late DEATON. Actually he names all the children I listed in my post, with married surnames for his daughters.
