Mrs. Leola Stubblefield, 55, of 610 Shelby street, Zanesville, Ohio died at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital following a two week illness.

She lived in this area since 1928.

She was born October 17, 1906 in Stanardsville, Virginia, the daughter of James and Birda Golden Payne.
She was a member and stewardess for ST. Paul A.M.E. church
(Zanesville, Ohio).

She is survived by her husband Charles H. Stubblefield; a son, Carl of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, William Payne of Downer, New Jersey and Nathan Payne of Philadelphia; six sisters, Mrs. Flossie Stubblefield, Mrs. Zeda Watt, Mrs. Lulu Mock and Mrs. Mary Wesley, all of Philadelphia and Mrs. Parthenia Blakey and Mrs Katherine Harley, both of Washington D. C.; and a grandson Karl Stubblefield of Cleveland, Ohio
The body is at the Putnam Chapel of Bolin-Bryan Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. J.D. Moore officiating.

Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Zanesville, Ohio
