Hi Kathy, we have corresponded before. I also think I might have added you to my private Marsh family website. However, YES, John W. Marsh is the first son of Layton and Peachy Marsh. He married Margaret Jaskey. They had 6 children: William L, Edward S, James G, Montgomery W, Cora and Lilly. He is my great uncle. My grandfather is George Harvey, the youngest of Layton and Peachy's children.

I understand you corresponded with others on this question. I believe that I have the most definitive genealogy on the Marshes from Culpeper, Green, and Orange counties.
