Halifax County Chancery Court Records and Other Loose Papers

I am planning a research trip to Halifax County. I am interested in Halifax County Chancery Court records, which I understand from previous posts have been microfilmed. Has anyone ever found the microfilm at the Library of Virginia? I don’t see a mention of it on their webpage. Are the microfilmed records easily accessible at the Halifax County Courthouse? Are there copiers available? I would appreciate any helpful hints about local research. Someone mentioned back in 2001 that the records are only available on Wednesday—is this still true?
Do the judgment records (or loose court papers indexed in the Pleas and Order books) survive? They are not available at the Library of Virginia—I don’t mean the loose Chancery records but the loose court papers dealing with minor court actions. I have several ancestors who seem to have spent a lot of time in the Halifax Court system. I am interested in records before about 1830.
Thanks,
