David Conner, b. 1760s - Halifax Cty to NC?

Classification: Query
Surnames: Conner, Comer, Canaday, Kenneday
Looking for the origins of David Conner (AKA Comer), born 1760-1770, moved to North Carolina by 1800. He married Susannah (last name unknown), and had at least 3 daughters and 1 son. His 3 daughters all married Canaday (AKA Canada, Kenneday, Kennedy) boys. In later censuses, David lived in Montgomery County, North Carolina (1810) and close to the Canadays in Davidson County, North Carolina (1830-1840).

I find no earlier info for David but see a lot of Conners/Comers in Halifax County, along with a lot of records for the Canadays. (I know the Davidson County Canadays came from there.)

Anybody know if David Conner came from Halifax County, maybe moved with the Canadays and other families? Anybody know of an early David Conner/Comer that might be the one I'm looking for?
