I suspect that the all of the members of the Tribble family out of Halifax Co., VA were out of....or at least related to....the Shadrack Tribble who married Elizabeth Coleman and who died in Halifax Co., VA in 1759. Shadrack Tribble had an aunt who was named Mary Tribble, and Mary married Abraham Brown. Those Browns were out of Essex Co., VA (in thr 1600s), but Abraham and Mary (Tribble) Brown moved over to Caroline Co., VA, where Abraham Brown died around 1735. As I recall, Shadrack Tribble moved to the Lunenburg Co.,VA area, and then that area became Halifax Co., VA in 1752.

At least some of Shadrack Tribble's sons (at least Spilsy/Spisbe Tribble, William Tribble and Benjamin Tribble) moved to Wilkes Co., NC, and there was a William Brown who also lived in Wilkes who SEEMS to have married into....or at least been closely connected to....that Tribble family. As such, I would not be too surprised if that William Brown had also lived in Halifax Co., VA earlier (but no proof). I can only guess at this time, however, if that William Brown was part of the same overall Brown family as the Abraham Brown who died in Caroline Co., VA around 1735, and who had married Mary Tribble.
