My g-grandmother's father was John Murphy born, I think, 1828 who married Elizabeth Chambers born, I think, abt 1830-1831. They lived in the Leaksville area. My g-gm was born 1853, Martha Ann Murphy; and it appears she was their first born. If your Murphy lived in the Leaksville area, they are probably related. Have you traced your Murphy line back. Someone suggested I check Miles Murphy who lived in the neighborhood, and I think he had a son John. If you need more info re him, I have a little that I would be happy to share.
