John Eggleston, 35, of Leakesville, N.C., son of the late Harden Eggleston of Figsboro, died in a Leakesville hospital Friday as a result of injuries when hit by an automobile Thursday on the Ridgeway-Leakesville highway. He was struck by a car driven by A. E. Franklin of Philpott. Eggleston and his six year old son, Billie, were in a truck driven by Thomas Smith. Eggleston was in a stooped position trying to straighten a wheel when he was struck.
