Mary: What have you found out about William White: who he married, who his children are? I am thinking it could be Henry White b. 1615-18, and Henry White b. 1637 and Rebecca White (b. 1634) who married Thomas Symons. Was he indeed from Ireland? If so, Gov. John White of Roanoke Island exploration retired to Ireland. Supposedly there was an English colony there. He was the illustrator of the early drawings of fish, flora, and fauna in the 1580's, and since this William White did live with the Indians to learn their ways, why wouldn't he belooking for the lost colonists. His son Henry finally bot land in 1661 along with grandson Henry and they specifically purchased the land from the Indians there. What do you know about William White and his children? Or his wives? Joyce PS. I descend from Rebecca who married Thomas Symons, and whose daughter Mary married John Morris, supposedly also from Ireland.
