Thank You very much for the offer.
Are there any HOLLANDS, especially Gabriel. Also John Larkin, or any Larkins. 1620-1650.
Thanks again.

Billy,
Forgive me but your name through me off, I went to school with a boy named Bill Cox.

From Early Virginia and its people by Thelma Bastow.
I found the following entries for the Holland surname:
Holland: Thomas massacred at Captian Berkeley's Plantation 3-22-1622.
Gabriel living at Colledg Land in 2-16-1623

Larkin: one entry: John massacred at Mr. Swinhowe's on
March 22, 1622.

It's not much but hope it helps in your search.
Elaine

Elaine:
I am trying to find ancesters of Phillip Deen born in Virginia circa 1730. Does that surname, or any potential variation, appear in your book?
Thank you for your help.

Are you still up to doing lookups in your Jamestown book? If so, I'm very interested in knowing if any of this family is listed:

Richard Gwin would have been born ca. 1745 or so "near Jamestown". Sarah Chesley would have been born about the same time and place. They were married in/near Jamestown ca. 1765 and had at least one child, son Isham Gwin. If you have ANY Gwins (and any other spellings are also of interest--Gwinn, Guin, Guinn, Gwynne, etc., including Given and Givin) or Chesleys, I'm interested! :-)
Thanks so much for making this selfless offer, friend.
Best to you,
John Gwin

Would you check the name Arundell? Our Arnold line has been very difficult to trace, once we get back to a certain point, and it's possible that the name was changed from Arundell to Arnold. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I know that you said the information in your book ended approx. 1650 but wondered if you have any slightly later information. I am searching for Aaron Drummond b. James City County approx. 1710. Thank you - you are so very kind to offer to do lookups.

Sue,
I see a couple of reference to the Arrundel surname in this book" Early Virginia and its people" by Thelmas Bastow.

Arrundell's: Richard living in James Citte 2-16-1623
Petter " " Bucke Row 2-16-1623
John " " " " 2-16-1623
Elizabeth " " " " 2-16-1623
Margareat " " " " 2-16-1823

This material does not indicate any relationship, but surely they were.
There is no mention of the Arnold surname.
Hope this aids in your search.
Elaine
