HI, I have a Death cer for my paternal GGf Charley Howard Dockery his wife was Mattie DOTSON-Dockery. She died sometime before him while having a baby. I don't have a death date for her. But, it says Charley's father was Richard Dockery born in Ash co, N.C. I haven't found him on any census. I did find a Marion Dick Dockery about the same age. Is it the right one. Which is the right name? How do I find a birth certifcate or a death cer for him. He is in the census 1910 lee co, jonesville, va. It says he was born in TN? Which should I trust. It also says Marion Dick parents born father nc and mother va. I have his parents names but, if I can't get his infor strieght I can't get a birth record for him. ps. 1900 census lee co Jonesville Dick Dockery 40yrs born may 1860 Scott co, va Wife Margaret Bowman BORN Grayson co, va. What do I believe? Census records are so mixed up. I do have 1870 census lee co, va Houston Dockery and wife Catharine I don't have her last name. hOUSTON 54yr Born Randolph co, nc son is on there Marion 11 yrs old born scott co, va. Is there a listing of all the births in scott co, va that will show this is right? How do I trace the family back past Houston? Can Hascue be a brother to Marion it says from 1906-1926? How do I find Houston's picture, if he bought land does it say where he lived in the area. I would love to see it or know where it is on the map. Who is Houston's father?
