NEW LEXINGTON: Mabel Brown, 74, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 3:40pm on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at her home after a 10 year vigilant battle with cancer.
Born October 18, 1938 in Ewing, Virginia (Lee County) to the late Gilbert and Cora Hounshell Brock.
Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
Survived by her children, Millie Snellings of Lancaster, Ohio, Lillian (Taylor) Holman of New Lexington and Glenn Brown of New Lexington; grandchildren, Misty (Bill), Michael (Kelli), Amanda, Shauna (Bill), Shanon (Josh), Heath, Christopher (Deanna) and Caleb; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, William (Naomi) Brock of Ewing, VA.; sister, Ethel Cavins of Ewing, VA. and special friends, Ron and Jackie Ealy.
In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, Emory R. "Monk" Brown, sons, Billy Jo Brown and Emory R. Brown, Jr., granddaughter, Stacey Snellings, brother, John Brock, sister, Anna Mae Young and Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Lillie and Herman Brown.
At her request, no calling hours will be held and a private family graveside service will be held at New Lexington Cemetery.
