I have solid ifo that a Richard French Simpson and a John
William Simpson attended U of Pennsylvania Medical School
from Loudon Co.VA 1839-40.This info from the archives of
the school.They had no furtherinfo. Richard French, S.
was graduted with MD degree in1840.John William S. did
not receive a degree.Richaed French S.joined the U>S>Army and served with distinction in the War with Mexico. He died July 4 1861 place ?. John William "read medicine" as they termed it and received M.D. degree,practisec in Fauquier co, married Catherins Feagans 1844. They moved to
TN in 1850. He was my Grandfather. His father was Samuel
